Jalisco Mexican Restaurant in New Market

Food was a bit bland, however waiter was courteous and very professional.

Not the style of Mexican food I prefer. It's not bad, just a little different. Service is good and friendly. They do take out. Good variety on the menu with vegetarian options.

Good was plentiful but mediocre. I had enchiladas that lacked any inspiration. Salsa had no kick and was bland.

Ordered last evening through grub hub. I think all the leftover ingredients from the day were just thrown into our order. We barely had any meat but an abundance of onions in both entrees that we ordered. Very disappointing because we love the one in Harrisonburg

Very nice ambiance. Excellent service, outstanding food, and the coldest feckin beer mugs that I have ever experienced. No sooner than I poured the beer, it was icing up. This is my new favorite restaurant. I will be back as often as I can. New Market, you have a gem.

Love the place. Warm welcome. Respectful staffs. Very nice singer. Waitress who took our orders was very polite and friendly and respectful and was from peru. Keep it up. I have to go there again before going back home to new jersey

Me and my wife are traveling back to Bew Jersey and hit up this little Mexican spot 9403 S Congress St, New Market, VA 22844. Hands down the best Chicken Quesadilla I have ever had. The alcohol drink was perfectly made, the ambiance was soothing and the waiter was very professional and pleasant. I recommend you stop here to eat if you are in the area or traveling north on interstate 81. DELICIOUS!!! Need one in Bergen County New Jersey

Food was fine. Very slow service — had to ask for our orders to be taken after sitting for 30 minutes.

Have ate here many times before the pandemic and has been our choice of Mexican food in the area. But the food this evening was very poor. Child's pizza must have been microwaved on the paper plate. The vegetables in burrito weren't cooked. Tacos, rice, and beans were luke warm at best because the cheese didn't even melt. Disappointed customers 😒

Jalisco's is always good! Had the fajitas for lunch. Came out sizzling hot. Just really good food at reasonable prices.

We didn’t like the food at all I have no clue how this restaurant has 4 stars doesn’t even compare to other Mexican restaurants I have site at before. Did not care for the staff either. Will never eat there again!!!

Pleasantly surprised after finding this gem trying to find the Southern Cooking restaurant. Very good food and great ambience.

This place was recommended to us by one of the locals in the Area. The atmosphere was nice and the server was great! Was very disappointed to order what I thought to be a Shrimp dinner. As you can see it only had three pieces of Shrimp. Please change the name of this overpriced dish. Never again

A nice quaint Mexican restaurant. Staff was super friendly and quick. They gave us an additional basket of chips without cost like a few places do. The food was delicious and a wide variety to choose. The place was clean and well decorated. I would go there againIf my pictures or my review helps you, please give me a thumbs up!!!!!

We dropped by without expectation, but it turned out to be our best choice to dine during our trip. We loved Fajita and quesadilla. Great food and great service!

I'm not local to the area so I can't compare it to anywhere around but the service was good. There was a steady coming of regulars it seemed. The food was very good and filling. A bit pricey but you get very large portions. I got the quesadilla Loca for $14 but it was huge and very flavorful.

Food was very good but the service was the worst I have had in a long time. I think the owners maybe having a hard time with adequate help during the pandemic.

Very good! Seating a little crowded but booths along the wall. Food authentic and good. Friendly wait staff. Reasonable prices. Parking on the street and on the side. They had live music on the Friday night I visited - acoustic guitar with some amplification. Good performer. I would like to go back and try more dishes.

What I liked the most were the prices, very affordable. The dishes in the menu sounds promising but they lack of authenticity. Corn tortillas were missing and not offer.

We arrived on Thursday at 5pm and was the 1st customers so service was fast. The place filled as we were there. The menu was pretty standard Mexican restaurant with a few local specialties. I tried one and it was delicious! Hubby liked his meal also. Service was good and prices were fair. I will happily dine there again next time we are in the area.

I give it a 4 because New Market town has little to nothing else. It's an interesting spot and the waitresses are cool enough. Has some singing around dinner. The food looks excellent but was bland to me...still good. Needs flavors. Seems their dishes are put everything in the fridge into one dish.

Normally I like this place a lot. However last time, the food I was served was sour, as in, it's at the end of it's safe to ingest life. Of course, I sent it back and they were cool and took it off the ticket completely. That was cool of them and the server got that money as a tip. Once again, the hamburger in the burrito was served cold. I thought the first time it happened it was just a mistake, but nope it's standard. I honestly don't think I'll go back again. I'm sad about that, I normally like them.... But I'm over it

Good portions, good food, good chips and salsa and overall a good Mexican restaurant. The service was average and when I asked to sit at a table instead of a booth they told me no, but otherwise a good experience other than that.

I placed a to -go order. The service was fast and the food was ok- a little bland for my taste. I deducted a star for lack of utensils, this is something I expect in a to-go order.

Very good food. We enjoyed it a lot.They have amazing autenthic mexican cusinie. We ordered vegetarian quesidia and fajita and both were amazing. They are fresh, and come in really large quantity.I recommend this place

A solid mexican joint with good service and very large portions. However, I have heard issues about their cleanliness in the past. They have gone through a remodel, and it appears to be in good shape now.

We made a pit stop here when coming from MD. The food and drinks were really good. Sad it isn't closer (only about 5 hours away!) But if we are ever in the area again would love to come back.

Standard Mexican food. It's good. I've eaten there many times, and will be there again. Would be nice if they had some new original recipes. Service is good.

Friendly staff, and large selection. My food arrived QUICKLY... literally 6 minutes. Product was excellent. Totally recommend.
